Green, optic blown beaker made after a model from Birka, Sweden, Viking Age. The cup has a volume of approximately 50 cl and is based on finds from Birka grave Bj 539. During the Viking Age, glass cups were imported from both near and far, and this particular cup originates from the Frankish Empire. Fragments of similar glass have also been found in Charlemagne’s Achen.
